Bridgeland
The trails in Bridgeland are designed to appeal to a wide variety of homeowners seeking a broad range of activities.
The conceptual land plan will feature a hierarchy of trails, border to border, to provide physical links for pedestrian/bicycle traffic to various villages, village centers and activity centers. Exercise trails with fitness stations, as well as nature trails along waterways and creeks, meander through the development to provide views of water fowl, aquatic plants/grasses and open up educational opportunities.

Cypress Creek Trail
The six-mile Cypress Creek Trail is set along the historic Cypress Creek Corridor, a 1,000-acre nature area and creek system bordering Bridgeland's northern edge. The trail offers a mix of pathways, with sidewalks leading to the main trail, which features decomposed granite. A series of secondary trails composed of rustic wood chips weaves through more densely wooded areas.
Along the trail, there are wildlife observation areas amid the trees and on Cypress Lake, as well as points of interest with benches and educational signage pertaining to the history of the area and indigenous plants and animals. Hikers may glimpse some of the 140 species of birds already identified in the area. A floating dock has been installed and the other amenities along the trail’s first 1.5 miles are now complete.
Residents can access the trailhead for Cypress Creek Trail at Oak Meadow Park, a 30-acre wooded setting that offers picnic areas and an 18-hole disc golf course nestled between the banks of Cypress Lake and Cypress Creek. Residents can enjoy a stocked lake and a covered pavilion with complimentary recreation equipment and convenient restrooms. The trailhead includes a seating area and a map of the trail system. Visit the Welcome Center to receive a helpful map that residents use as they explore this historic landscape.
Central Creek Trail
This trail will meander along the main central thoroughfare in the Bridgeland community and will cater to those looking for an afternoon power walking session or a casual evening stroll along the lakes. It will be more urban in character and will be the primary linkage in the trail system. It will also link communities to the future Town Center.
Langham Creek Trail
This southernmost trail will serve as a buffer to the surrounding natural environment. Over time, the trail will become more heavily wooded, similar to the Cypress Creek Trail where bird watchers can view many of the 140 species of birds that have touched down on the Bridgeland landscape.
House-Hahl Trail
This unique trail is named after the "old House and Hahl" road that stretches across the Bridgeland landscape. The mile-long first phase of this trail includes numerous exercise stations with individual signs to assist you and enhance your exercise outing. The asphalt trail is steps from your front door and is perfect for walking the dog, biking or jogging, and connects you to The Shores Lake Trail or First Bend Lake Trail.
The second phase of House-Hahl trail is now complete. The extension has doubled the trail's existing size and nearly 1,000 trees were planted to enhance its setting.
Community Lake Trails
Each community built within Bridgeland contains sidewalk trails winding around the lakes and green space. Existing trails can be found in The Shores, First Bend, The Cove, Lakeland Heights, Water Haven, and next on the horizon - the new community of Hidden Creek. The trail systems help to connect communities and neighborhoods to amenities, the Lakeland Activity Center and other trail systems such as House-Hahl Trail and the Cypress Creek Nature Trail. Catch a glimpse of some of the 140 species of birds identified in Bridgeland by simply strolling along the lake trails.
