Energy Day is Houston’s largest annual FREE family festival showcasing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Energy Day has nearly 70 interactive demonstrations and exhibits that teach students and their families about the various forms of energy through STEM fields, along with efficiency, conservation, and other related STEM industries.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
EXHIBITS

Energy Day features interactive demonstrations and exciting exhibits that introduce, teach, and showcase various forms of energy to students and their families. Exhibits range from hands-on demonstrations where attendees can see how an energy process works to small and large scale installations that kids can observe. We encourage organizations to be creative and show the fun side of STEM.

AWARDS

Academic awards handed out on Energy Day are part of the Energy Day Academic Program (EDAP) that helps to amplify existing academic competitions and events through a series of unique, city and state-wide, STEM- and energy-related competitions that are aimed to motivate, challenge, and inspire young minds to seek careers in STEM fields.

SCHOOLS

Energy Day is successful by reinforcing what students learn in their classrooms, making learning fun and hands-on. With the help of partner schools and institutions, children young and old can get a better idea of the importance of STEM education and the development of new energy technology.

STEM

The Energy Day Festival was founded in Houston, Texas in 2011 to provide outreach and educational support materials, events, activities, resources, and information about career opportunities in STEM and the various energy fields - stressing the importance of energy, conservation, and efficiency in our daily lives to schools, students, and their families.
