“For never was a story of more woe…” Tchaikovsky’s well-known take on Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers pours forth with romance and drama, and passions run just as deep in Dvořák’s heartfelt Othello. The Houston Symphony’s own MuChen Hsieh also takes center stage for the fiery virtuosity of Saint-Saëns’s Violin Concerto No. 3.
