Join Sea Rim State Park, the Port Arthur Convention and Visitor's Bureau, and the Pleasure Island Commission in celebrating our feathered friends this World Migratory Bird Day!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with a family-fun open house. Learn what birds enjoy Pleasure Island and the area and enjoy youth activities supporting local birding. The Pleasure Island Commission and Sea Rim State Park and Port Arthur Convention & Visitors Bureau will present this free event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 on beautiful Pleasure Island.

Port Arthur’s Pleasure Island, Sea Rim State Park, Sabine Woods, McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge are home to shore wading and marsh birds. Our spring and fall migrations are spectacular. This year’s World Migratory Bird Day focuses on light pollution.
