Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
We, at Cordovan Art School, see the happiness everyday that comes from creative people doing what they were born to do. Everyone who enters our doors will be greeted with a smile, and we hope that they leave with a smile when their class is over–that is our “smile-smile” policy. We try to create an environment that is positive, uplifting, and enjoyable our artists can relax while they paint, draw, and learn the fundamentals of art and design. And, along the way, we hope that our students and our teachers gain a deeper appreciation for the arts and each other.

Cordovan Art School opened its doors in 2009 when when well-known artist and founder, John Howell decided to bring the arts to his community in Round Rock, Texas. He opened an Art School and established a fabulous community event called the Round Rock Chalk Walk, an event that attracted 60,000 people this year. Since 2009, thousands of kids, teens, and adults have found and explored their creativity at Cordovan, taking classes, attending summer camps, spring break camps and winter camps; at special events and workshops; with family and friends at pottery painting events; celebrating birthday parties; attending fundraising events for schools and non-profits; corporate events, and enjoying walk-in pottery painting in our studios. Cordovan has grown to include 5 studios in the Houston area and 5 studios in the Austin area. The measure of our success is in the smiling faces of kids, teens, and adults who enjoy our fun, encouraging and creative environement. Join us and see where your imagination takes you!
