Friends of Texas Wildlife is a non profit organization that rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife. They are the only wildlife rehabilitation center in Montgomery County, and serve several counties to the north as well. The state and federal permitted rehabbers assist thousands of animals each year and release them back into the wild when they are ready.
The FTWL Education Center offers Scout badge workshops, home school field trips, day camps, and presentations to schools and libraries. Participants learn to tell if an animal truly needs assistance, what to do to, and how to coexist with wildlife.
