For over 26 years, HMDC has used an interdisciplinary approach to dance training, emphasizing a thorough understanding of various dance techniques while promoting self-expression and creativity. Classes are designed to enhance each student’s experience to the fullest in a welcoming and creative atmosphere. HMDC provides students with elevated dance instruction that enhances physical health, promotes cognitive skills, and inspires creativity and artistry.   Dance is indeed an athletic art discipline that improves students physically, psychologically engages them, and artistically inspires them. Dance promotes creative thinking and emotions of well-being.

HMDC offers dance classes in an array of disciplines including Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, African and Broadway.  HMDC offers a variety of levels to serve students of all backgrounds, from brand new beginners to advanced dancers.

Children’s Classes – Our children’s classes are for children ages 3 to 12 in all levels and all genres, and include Children, Youth and Teen levels to ensure the curriculum grows with the student.

Teen Classes - Our Teen programming is for students 12 - 17 and includes dance classes as well a choreography class to provide a safe environment to learn to dance and create.

Adult Open Classes – Our adult classes are for students ages 13 and up in all levels and all genres to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment which allows all students to develop and grow.

Adult Introductory (Intro) Classes – One of our most successful and popular programs, the Intro classes are designed for students with little or no prior dance training. Each session is six weeks long and teachers work to prepare students to move into the beginner level teen/adult classes.
