In celebration of Women’s History Month, and in conjunction with ARTECHOUSE’s current exhibition Time & Space that features a collaboration with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, ARTECHOUSE Houston welcomes NASA Astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson for an afternoon presentation and discussion of her recent time spent on the International Space Station, as well as a Q&A and meet and greet.
Tracy Dyson has logged nearly 400 days in space across three spaceflights, and has made four spacewalks lasting just under 24 hours in total. Her most recent mission, Expedition 70/71, launched March 23, 2024 sending her to the International Space Station for six months where she conducted hundreds of hours of scientific investigations, including an experiment to 3D print cardiovascular tissue samples, and running a program that used student-designed software to control the station’s free flying robots.
Tickets are FREE, and guests may arrive starting at 9am and have access to ARTECHOUSE’s 26,000 square feet of digital and multimedia installations. The presentation and Q&A with Dyson will start at 10am with a meet & greet to follow.
