Bird Survey and Nature Hike

Birders and hikers of all skill levels are invited to join park naturalists and volunteers for a closer look at the wildlife in Jones Park. Help survey birds in the park using the eBird app on your cell phone; data collected is used by Houston Audubon. Participants can earn volunteer service hours for community organizations and Texas Master Naturalists. Wear closed-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and binoculars for the 2-hour, 2-mile hike on a variable trail that’s sometimes sandy and uneven and other times paved. Ages 10+. Meet in front of the nature center. 2-hour, 2-mile hike on a variable trail that’s sometimes sandy and uneven and other times paved
