Clickbait | What’s happening in Houston

Clickbait

An app you can walk thru. Now open for limited engagement. Clickbait is an interactive exhibit where you play through 18 installations, make choices, and watch the system build a profile of you. See how the internet sees you — a physical, playful, surprising look at AI, ads, algorithms, social media, deepfakes, online identity, and the data trail we create every day.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

What happens inside?

You play.
You choose.
You react.
Your choices become data
The system builds a profile.
Then it shows how it sees you.
Clickbait turns the hidden mechanics of the internet into physical experiences you can walk through, touch, trigger, question, and talk about.

Why go?

The internet is not just something we use.
It learns from us.
It predicts us.
It sorts us.
It decides what we see next.
Clickbait makes those systems visible. Instead of reading about algorithms, visitors step inside a walkable digital world and see how small choices can become signals — and how those signals shape the online world around us.

Great for kids, teens, and adults
Kids and teens are growing up inside a connected world. Adults remember when the internet felt separate from daily life.

Clickbait gives every generation a shared way to talk about what happens behind the screen — through play, interaction, surprise, and personal discovery.
