Thanks to TXU Energy, the Houston Zoo is once again staying open late until 8:30 p.m., so you can enjoy the animals in the cooler evening weather. Join us for Cool Nights every Friday evening from June 26 through August 21. From 5 to 8 p.m. guests can enjoy added music and kid-friendly activities that are sure to entertain kids and adults alike! All activities are included in Zoo admission.July 17: Coolest Backyard BashEnjoy backyard games, music, and an Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt at the Coolest Backyard Bash. Bring a date, a friend, or the whole family! After enjoying Cool Nights, head across the street to Miller Outdoor Theatre and join Theatre Under the Stars as they present a musical performance of Smokey Joe’s Cafe. This Tony Award-nominated and Grammy Award-winning musical revue is an electrifying tribute to rock ‘n’ roll.
