Join us for Explore Abilities day, a NEW exclusive event for children with learning differences and their families.

Designed in partnership with the Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics and Autism Center at Texas Children’s Hospital, Explore Abilities gives families the opportunity to enjoy the entire Museum at their own pace and also participate in the special activities occurring during the day.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
- Music Prelude: Event times: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. in Tree Top
- Interactive Storytime: Event times: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. in Parent Resource Library
This exclusive event includes the following modifications:- Extra visual signage for safety
- Less crowded environment free from unnecessary distractions
- Specialists on hand for consultation and extra fun activities
- Ear defenders and sun glasses available on loan
- Designated quiet rooms
- Families are allowed to bring in outside food and drinks (Fresh Café will be closed)
