Looking to spend some quality time outside with the family. Young and old can experience nature during the 22nd annual Migration Celebration April 16 and 17, 2016 at the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge, Brazoria, Texas. Best of all it's free. Saturday events go from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and include the "Birds of Prey" program. See an Andean Condor up close, a Harris Hawk flying over your head, and a Peregrine Falcon diving at incredible speeds. Children can take advantage of the many child-friendly activities. Children can hold baby alligators, snakes and other critters, go catfish fishing, test their shooting skills at the BB gun range, go through the butterfly encounter tents, bug sweeping, participate in hands-on nature activities, and see really small critters through a microscope. Other family activities include marsh buggy tours, van bird watching tours, kayaking, bird banding, plus many other events all free. Sunday events go from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include most of the events from Saturday. . Migration Celebration is a great way to experience nature for the whole family.
