Guests can enjoy a wide variety of interactive experiences throughout the day, including live demonstrations with rescued and rehabilitated horses in the Equine Rescue Arena, meet and greets with our wildlife experts and ambassador birds, and the chance to observe neonatal kitten and puppy feedings. Watching these tiny animals receive bottle feedings offers a unique glimpse into the critical care provided to some of Houston’s most vulnerable animals. Visitors can also spin our Prize Wheel and connect with staff and volunteers who help make this work possible.
Families will find plenty to enjoy at our Education Stations, where kids can participate in arts and crafts, STEAM-inspired activities, face painting, balloon animals, and other hands-on experiences designed to entertain while educating. Live music from Barrett Phillips and the All Stars helps create a festive atmosphere that makes the Spring Open House a perfect outing for families and friends.
Looking to add a new family member to your family? Visit our Pet Adoption Center, open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., to meet some of our adorable, adoptable pets. You can even view adoptable pets before the event here.
