Experience what is widely considered one of the greatest choral works in history, when Texas Master Chorale presents Mozart’s Requiem.
Commissioned by Count Franz von Walsegg for the first anniversary of his young wife’s death, the masterpiece was unfinished when Mozart himself died in December, 1791, at the age of 35. His friend, Joseph Eybler, continued working on Requiem, and it was later completed by Mozart’s student, Franz Xaver Sussmayr.
Texas Master Chorale will perform this iconic piece on Saturday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. with their 100-plus member chorus, four soloists, and orchestra. The concert takes place at John Wesley Church, 5830 Bermuda Dunes Drive in Houston.
Tickets are $30 and may be purchased at TexasMasterChorale.org. Students are free with school I.D., and complimentary valet parking is available for all concert guests.
