Learn how early Texas settlers built clay ovens during this hands-on demonstration by volunteers and staff in the Redbud Hill Homestead.

Clayworks 

 

Join staff and volunteers at the Redbud Hill Homestead to learn how to mix clay, pine straw, and water to make "chinking" which is used to fill the cracks and crevices between the logs of our historic 1830's cabin and outbuildings.

 

Visitors of all ages are welcome!
